My teenage sister was like, "you're old now."

I said "shut up."

"Like... 26 isn't 'early twenties' anymore."

"shut up."

"it's not even 'MID-twenties...' it's, like... OLD twenties."

Not really celebrating it this year. There's nothing to celebrate. My family wants to know what I want for my birthday, and I can't think of anything beyond "new tires and brake pads."

Seriously - I don't want another video game or CD or toy. I have plenty of those, I spent a lot of time getting rid of most of them, I live at home, I'm trying to get a new job, I don't really know who my friends are or how long I'll have them, I don't know what the future holds, or even if I HAVE a future, etc. I'm in a constant state of panic all the time.

So, for my birthday, I don't want any more goofy trinkets, I want a little security. And I'd feel a lot more secure if I could drive places without worrying about my tires exploding on the highway, AGAIN. That's really all I can think about anymore.

Anyway, that was a lot more bitter than I meant it to be. YAY ME FOR SURVIVING ANOTHER AWESOME YEAR!! 8D
