Commissions TOS and Pricing
Please read everything in this TOS carefully. All information provided is important. If you have any additional questions about anything I did not cover here, please feel free to privately contact me.
Please allow me to select a pose. This works best for all involved, as it leaves me feeling much more comfortable, thus I am able to produce a higher quality piece of work for you. I do, however, strongly encourage the commissioner to suggest themes for the work. Having a suggested theme gives me better ideas of what you're wanting to see me do with your character.
Backgrounds are tricky for me, and I tend not to want to make attempts at full backgrounds. Most images will have a solid color behind the character (color of your choice). I will draw a simple, small background if desired, but there will be an additional cost. Please inquire about extra charges and examples of simple backgrounds.
You will receive a high resolution, unmarked PNG format of your digital image via email if buying a digital commission. If purchasing a traditional media commission, you will receive the original finished image. Please refer to “shipping information” for more details regarding traditional media commissions.
Here is a list of what I WILL NOT draw. Pretty much anything except what is listed here is fair game, but if you are not sure, please contact me privately to inquire.
I have made some exceptions for mainstream characters for close friends in the past, but typically I will not accept commissions for such characters because I feel most people looking to have art of these characters are wanting for them to be done in their respective styles, and I WILL NOT copy anyone's style, be it a mainstream animation studio or another artist. If you are looking to have artwork done in a specific style, please contact an artist who already draws in the style you desire.
Please be aware that, while I will try very hard, I may not be able to complete your work by a specific deadline if you happen to have one. If you have a deadline for which you need the art completed, please give me plenty of advance time and a specific date for which it is needed. I ask at least 1 month's time ahead of when you need it done, but if you could give me more, that would be helpful. I get work done as soon as I can, but I do not rush myself. Rushing art can produce a lower quality than I could provide to you if I took my time. So, you will likely not see your work done within a day or two. Typically one picture takes me several days to complete. Longer if it's digital. I do everything I can to ensure that delays are not too long so you don't have to wait for your work, but please. No rushing. I will give updates regularly if something has come up to delay your commission.
For traditional media commissions, the commissioner will receive the original finished image. However, there will be shipping and handling fees added on. Art is slipped into a plastic sleeve and is either shipped in a rigid photo mailer envelope or a manilla envelope with cardboard backing. Badges are shipped in bubble mailers. Within the United States, an additional fee of $3.50 is require for all traditional media and badge commissions. If living outside the US, please inquire about shipping and handling fees for any traditional media artwork you have purchased.
If you desire some other shipping method than what has been mentioned, please privately contact me and we can work out what the shipping and handling fees for your preferred method will be.
No work will be started until payment as been received. I will hold unpaid slots for a commissioner for 1 week. If by the end of that week I have not received payment or an expected time of payment, the slot will reopen for someone else.
My preferred payment method is Paypal. I will give you the address to send payment to upon confirmation that you are buying a commission. I will also accept money orders, but please be aware that they take from 3-10 days to arrive. All payment must be in US dollars only. Please DO NOT send Paypal payments as "gifts". Please either use "goods" (more in the case of traditional media) or "services" (more intended for digital).
If you have ANY questions at all regarding my commission terms, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will gladly answer all your questions as quickly as possible.
Thank you, and I look forward to working with you.
