Im just going to tell you now, Fursuit making is messy, you have to have ALOT of patience, practice, and a whole idea with prices and a knowing on where you will be getting all of your materials

As a budding fursuit maker, I must tell you that you HAVE to be prepared to put a LOT of money into the materials and hobby before you can even THINK of commissions. I'm talking hundreds of dollars. It's really not a 'Get Rich Quick' thing and a little unrealistic to aim for, as fursuits appeal to such a narrow range of people. It's more likely that you'll LOSE money than GAIN money. Just sayin'.

I mean, I'm not discouraging you from trying, but I'm simply letting you know.

Also, being 'popular' on Deviantart or Fa means nothing. Don't base your art's quality or value on the number of favs or comments it gets, this will only be something that holds you back.
If you want commissions, PRACTICE.

One of the big reasons people don't commissions some people is because the quality of art, and the subjects. You must show a good range of subjects and species, which shows how capable you are of just more than wolves and whatnot. Improve your art FIRST, and I will guarantee you will get at least SOME commissions.

I mainly want art commissions and not so much fursuit commissions. Again I may not consider. It seems to me that making fursuits takes time, money and a lot of patience. It's going to be awhile until I decide, this journal is just letting people know that I'm thinking about it, and for getting peoples opinion on fursuit making. Thanks for the advice and opinion. :)

i just learned myself how to sew. i made my suit (with the help of my mom) and i plan on making a few more. its a lot of fun, but can get pretty expensive. that fur isnt cheap >.>
