I'm gonna be gone for a little while. Starting tomorrow, to the 20th, I'll be on a field training exercise. That means I'll be living in a tent, in the middle of winter, while conducting recce (reconnaissance) patrols, manning defences in a trench, and getting my gear blown up by opfor (opposing forces) with artiesims (artillery simulations). I don't expect to sleep more than a handful of hours throughout the entire exercise. Also, we don't get to shower while we're out there; we take, according to my sergeant, "hooker baths"—think: wash basin, soap, and wet naps. Should be fun.

So yeah, I'll be away for a while. While I do get back on the 20th, I'll probably be comatose for a good couple of days after that, haha.

I could use a good war film to psyche me up tonight. Got any recommendations? Preferably something more modern-era. Note that I've already seen the Hurt Locker and Blackhawk Down, the latter being awesome.
