Japan :(

So as most of you know a huge earthquake hit Japan causing a massive tsunami. Currently 40 people have been confirmed dead. This is a great tragedy for Japan and I am certain the death toll will continue to rise.
I have seen many journals about it including one by an artist claiming it was "karma" for them hunting whales and the likes. This infuriates me as anyone who knows me knows I LOVE Japan I hold they're culture and ettiquette very close to me and ANYONE who would say they deserve it... well I am not going to continue but (insert bad stuff here)
I truly hope things get better but with all the sadness I want to present a more optimistic note of the matter.
If ANY country can recover from this it's Japan throughout history they have proven time and time again that they can survive and rebuild through determination and that wonderful willpower that all humans have. I mean if you look at Hiroshima today it is a busy and bustling metropolis just as beautiful if not more then when America dropped the Atomic bomb on it. Japan will remain strong and rebuild, I have full faith in they're ability. If I had more money I would send it to them in aid of the efforts to rebuild the damaged areas. So although it's sad Japan is tough and they will be okay in the end afterall they did create the Samurai.
So I hope you all wish Japan the best of luck aswell as all other affected areas.

You know... there are people in Japan possibly thinking it's karma as well. I am a bit of a believer in Karma (to some extent, you reap what you sow, three fold/five fold, etc.) so possibly. I'm not saying all of Japan deserves it, far from it. No one deserves that. D= Though they have done terrible things as well. (And as have we) It's just... I find it odd that when I serve people from Asia and Japan who are my age or a bit older (college students) and they seem shocked to hear of this sort of thing happening. Like, shocked as in they had no clue. D=
I may not be all that bad in ALL areas. Like, when Australia was getting hit after hit of crap and I asked two friends of mine from there what it was like. One was upset because they lost a bunch of sheep to flooding. The other... had no idea there was anything going on.
My heart goes out to the folks who lost loved-ones in the quake, as well as to our military boys and girls forward-deployed in bases at Yokosuka, Sasebo and Okinawa.
<w< Right now, HobbyLink Japan is closed for business 'cause of the quake... nobody died there, but their warehouse is tore up from the floor up.

Plate Tectonics is the main reason the island is there in the first place. It's located along the western edge of the Pacific Plate, right next to a major subduction zone known as the Japan Trench.
Also the same reason they have volcanoes.
