and thats the problem with cars these days! back in the day you COULD hit it with a hammer or wrench and its fixed... now you have to take it to a mechanic and pay horrendous amounts of money just to get it fixed

Nevar! I'm a cheap-skate, so I have them Diagnose it and tell me what's wrong so I can fix it myself, and if I can't figure out how to fix it I google it (seriously). Though if it is really bad, like a transmission problem, then I have to have them do it. >.<

Trans on mine has been crap since day one; that's what the retarded clicking noise was. Aw well, time for a car hunt.

What do you think it is?

Its the Harmonic Balancer attached to the crankshaft. Thing wobbled around till it broke off and just hung there with nothing to spin it. Have to take off the giant bolt holding it on then depressed the middle to pull off the rest of the broken piece. Without it there's nothing to spin the accessories on the side of the negine like a alternator and power steering pump and all that. should cost me no more than 100 bucks to fix if I can just get the thing towed up the auto hobby shop.

Well that's good. Sounded like you were leading up to something that would have ran a couple hundred, or easily a thousand... Your insurance might be able to tow it for you... Mine offers free towing... Just a thought. ^_^ Best of luck. <3
