Fww, so, I honestly have no clue what to do with this. like.
the plot-
I. . . need to. . .
Okay, so we've been over this, three kids die and help stephen.
but-
In this iteration of the plot, one of them is his KID.
his FUCKING KID.
That could- so completely- ruin his- everything, once the story is over. (the kids who die WILL NOT come back. they become the new guardians and will work more or less in tandem together for an indeterminate amount of time.)
I have no issue with Tyler (he was intended to be one of the kids!) and rayne, though difficult to get into the story, is alright- but there's supposed to be three kids and the other is shaping up to be Aaron.
I'm not entirely sure that I enjoy the idea of killing 3+ children for the purpose of moving the story along, either. (i had somewhat intended an accident, and of the deaths, these three were chosen.)

I don't really want there to be teenagers, either (though this is more acceptable) and it CAN NOT be adults.
it's.. important that the innocence factor is intact.
so it's got to be kids.
But.
ARGH. this is highly frustrating.
I like where it's going now, I just need to go back a bit and integrate rayne a bit more, and it will fit together fairly well. But i feel like I'm losing stephen as a main character and making it aaron and the kids, instead.
I don't want aaron to have to die.
does he have to die?
I feel like I can't control it.
this is my brain working and i can't control it.

if aaron dies- Elli will never forgive Stephen. or maybe she will, but it won't be easy. there will be a lot of heartbreak. Stephen might never forgive himself.
Aaron is already fairly disappointed in his dad. He'll lighten up a bit when he sees his father's actual occupation, so- I guess that that might be important?
Can I handle this?
I need a happy-ish ending. it will resolve, I know that, but how it resolves i cannot seem to keep a firm hand over.
holy shit all the main characters are male except for rayne.
should i change that?
SHould one of the original guardians be female?
