Why is it that games like DotA or Medal of Honor gets so famous while games like Okami are so insignificant?
When playing DotA, it's always in the same map, no story nothing.
While in Okami, the game actually teaches you something, inspires you like a piece of masterpiece.... Even some of the song touches the heart.
I just don't get people these days....
Can explosions and gunfires really substitute a great storyline?

I've been in both shoes, playing RPG and Dota, I still am playing dota (just finished a match just now) and I got the feel for both games.I would definitely prefer FF compared to Dota but if I want a quick game, i mess around with dota. Also, RPG games tend to only attract those who like games with stories. It goes to show that there are less people wanting story games. Again, you can't be too sure. There isn't any statistic that shows the percentage of how many people like RPG games compared to strategy games.
If anything, They're like minigames. :)
And the key element to their fame is in their replayability.
and about Okami, the greatest game i have ever played, nothing to say more!
What is DotA?
2) Not to mention that usually the gamers who're so hardcore on those genres won't give a jack about how beautifully done Ookami is. They want to shoot their friends, they want to cooperate to blast things off. You can feast your eyes with beautiful sight and content of Ookami, they will sleep in the middle of the way as they are.
