I went from opencanvas directly to sai, then have used it exclusively since I got my tablet

The worst about it is that I can't get it for the life of me to associate any of my tablet buttons or sliders to zoom in or out. I do like the line smoothing feature, but as it is now, inking is just too much of a pain in the butt. It takes me over twice as long to ink in SAI than it does in GIMP.

Also, coloring. Man. It is WEIRD. I'm not used to programs blending colors for me, so everything I try to do comes out skewed.

well I never used gimp and nor am I too experienced with art so I can't really provide an opinion on that, but with sai it has a customizable interface, something like buttons not working may be a tablet thing and also you could look up compatibility

my mouse is right next to me for wheel zooms and my pen I gave it a drag button but that's just how I do it

I won't even try to figure out artistic jargon but sai prolly just takes adjustment and playing with settings like anythin
