Hooo Boy…

Well, I'm fixin' to get back into the groove again here pretty soon, but I'm pretty sure there are going to have to be some major changes. For those of you who have enjoyed the couple stories I've put up here I'd like to thank you, and offer a bit of possible warning: i'm probably going to be clearing most (if not ALL) of what I've got up here out in the next week or so. I've enjoyed putting these illustrations up here, but I've come to the realization that I can and should be presenting FAR better quality artwork.
I will probably roll these into the new style I'm creating, but don't necessarily count on it. So if you like them, download them NOW, because they are probably going away for good after this. Thanks for being the springboard for some new directions and trials, everyone, and I have really enjoyed the comments.
I ask that no one repost any of these images, as its really important to me to have a clean start, and I don't need them muddying the water as they exist now. Until the retcon, enjoy them while you can…
Keep watching, and the new style starts soon!

I totally understand about wanting a new start, though. Best of luck, Ober! I look forward to seeing whatever new you do post, whatever the style. :)
A more cuter Ober!?
*waits*
Another, more serious problem is that my work is being reposted elsewhere on the net, and its being posted as "dirty fur" art, which REALLY pisses me off. I don't consider myself a smut artist, but apparently some do. This is a MAJOR problem for me, because I have a livelihood and career at stake.
The work I have posted here has been the equivalent of quick doodles for me- a way to test new ideas, and get back into the habit of creating new work again.
But time and time again, I look at my book illustration, and am reminded: I'm far faster and produce better quality work in traditional media such as pen and ink and watercolor. I want to incorporate more of that into this body of work.
So I guess we're not really talking about a change in style, so much as a change in the way I produce the finished product. I just need a printer that can transfer my linework to watercolor paper, and a scanner that can bring it all home.
