... The rarity of encountering a shiny pokemon is 1 in 8192 EVERY time you encounter one.

So far, among myself, my brother, and cousen, we haven't found any shiny pokemon yet in Black and White, but I'll be sure to let you know.

I knooooow... what luck! I go 8 years with never seeing a shiny other than the Lake of Rage Gyarados, and then I caught two shinies on roms... both in August of 2008... and then two shinies on ACTUAL cartridges in March of 2011. So far my rate of catching a second shiny in the same month as a first shiny is 100%. lol

Yup, mine's in a heel ball too, though she's a level 52 Scolipede.
