Hey, I need some serious advice (please read)

Well, since this is the beginning, I'll start here
Okay, so I need advice on how to get noticed.
Now, I knowo n of he easiest opion "You pimp, I draw" but I really don't want to be know just because people can get free art from me. Also, the last time I did that, I ended up with way too many requests for me to handle, which lead to me getting depressed over getting them.
So instead, I was wondering if you guys had any idea on how to get my name out there. Now, I'm not asking you to pimp me out (although, I wouldn't say no if you did... jk ;3) but just some way to get acess to people who will like my style or whatever.
So, comment away. Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Fastest way I reckon apart from being plugged in other people's journals is doing fanart. Pokemon fanart's pretty popular so more people will be likely to see your stuff.
