COMPUTER DOWN and other news
first, let's start with COMPUTER DOWN, since this is obviously the most important thing.
So, I'm sure you already know where this is going, so let me tell you how we got there and where we're going now.
The big computer pretty much went poof- or at least part of it did.
It's not turning on, and yes, we did make sure that it was plugged in. We had a power out a few nights ago (either a line down or a severe brown out.) there were two things plugged into that set of outlets, 3/4 things plugged into the same surge protector/power strip- everything else is fine. Mom said that when the power went out, the computer made a loud "Poof" sound. . . we think that the only thing that kersploded was the electrical part where the power cable plugs in, (we are fairly certain that everything else is probably fine) so we're going to PLAY ENGINEER to see if we can make a compenstein monster and get the stuff that I need off of the hard drive- if not then I'll be taking it down to somebody who knows what they're doing to retrieve that info, because it's my art computer and, seriously, I need it.
This brings me to my next point-
Digital art is on hold. I'm going to retool one of my iron artist commissions to be watercolor so at least he doesn't have to wait, but the Choral Cubs picture is officially on hold until I can retrieve the info. . . if it turns out that for some reason we can't, I'll post another journal containing Plan B.
As a change of subject (and probably the last thing for today, unless I think of something else before I finish the journal)- I got an agent for the AnthroCon Art Show <3 I've got the form filled out and it's EVEN IN AN ENVELOPE so GOD FRIKKING WILLING it will actually make it into the mailbox tomorrow.
Cheers!

You have a couple options... sometimes you can swap a power supply from an old unused PC out into your box... but more often then not you'll either have to buy a replacement part and place it in yourself or go take the whole box into a pc repair shop and ask them to install a new power supply and check everything over. Let me know if you need anymore info hon.
