Matthew 24:36-45
"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
Ok, ok, let me explain my intent here. I'm not here to preach by any means, but rather I'm trying to explain that we should all just calm down about it and stop trying to predict it. It's going to happen whether you're "prepared" or not, but unlike the teaching of the homeowner and the thief, there's no way you can stop it. Everyone's freaking out about the "end of the world" and I just think it's pointless to be all stressed out over something you can't control. It's also pointless to assume that the world will end on XX/XX/XXXX and go and spend all of your money and do crazy things just cause someone says the world will end on that day. There's no more chance of the world ending on that day than there is of it ending the minute I post this. That's not to say it won't happen. It's going to happen. The signs are all around, but they don't directly point to one specific day. Every day has the potential.
Now, I don't consider myself to be very religious. I /AM/ a Christian, but I'm not the type that will throw it in your face. I simply believe that as long as you follow the simple rules (of which many are laws), and acknowledge God as being existant and loving, then you'll be fine. I was simply using this bible segment to prove a point, so don't get all butthurt about it. Haters need not apply.

OP
lol simply to prove a point. I just figure that everyone freaking out over something that can't be predicted, can't be stopped, and can't be changed, is absolutely ridiculous lol

Reason why Y2K didn't happen was becasue of massive lag...so now we have a better connection and Y2K will really happen in 2012....
