why do people make those journals!?

i've seen this way too much and it makes no since at all.
ok they make a journal saying "hey guys want free art?" and then they tell you that you have to donate to someting first.
wouldn't that mean your paying for it, an I still don't know why people fall for that.

or they'll post "free art / COMMISSIONS" >_> i'm pretty sure if you put "Free art" and "commissions" in the same journal, people will pounce on the free art part <_<
