I'm being made to clear out my late mother's house this week. I can't stand it. I keep getting caught up in "Mom was the last person to touch this, she put this here, mustn't move it."
I hate this. I just want to be done with it. It's killing me to go back and go through everything. The house smells like her, feels like home, but it's not, not without her. Her room and bathroom smell like bleach and blood and medication. I hate it so much.

This too shall pass. It is painful but necessary. If you don’t work your way through it, it will remain unfinished, in your mind if not in reality. As best you can, dwell on the good remembrances evoked by the things you touch; use that as an anodyne against the darker memories. And know that there are people who care, ears to bend, shoulders to cry on.
