Question.

First, don't get me wrong about constructive criticism. The lack of it is the problem about these "art" sites. But I digress, man.
Anyway, how do you react if someone was to give you that great and unfortunately uncommon critique, but then doesn't follow those tips in their own art? Iunno.

FA+

I really wish more artists would be so understanding about criticism as you.
I know I don't have any room to speak because I pretty much suck, so I tend not to hand out criticism because I just feel like I shouldn't unless I am more superior in that area.
It doesn't take an artist to see that something "looks weird."
The main question:
I would be happy because it is critique, when I put up art I dont just look forward to the ones telling me it's awesome ( I do, but not JUST), I actually think critique would be nice change of pace. If you keep drawing things the wrong way thinking their right, they'll stick as habits and thats horrible. D:
me ranting about whatever else lol :
The deal with critique on art sites is that every 12 year old anime artist thinks they are awesome and don't need any, than they say "Gimme critique!" assuming everyones will bathe them with compliments, but instead they are bathed in REAL crticism (constructive or not)
If I see something wrong with a persons art and their like "I'mz so proud dis da best ive eva done" then I'll just let them bathe in the moment even if it's complete shit.
Asking for criticism takes guts in a way, if you're looking for compliments than that is PROBABLY not a good way to ask for them. If you say "Gimme criticism", chances are, that you will see people telling you how your doing it wrong in a very...straight forward way, and it sorta hurts if your new to dicks on the internet.
ANYWAYS
:U yeah .
Criticism is good but only when others ask for it, not just dishing it out to everyone and their mom. (for other people, that is, I LOVE random critique).
