Nope, and I don't plan to because I am not a handheld gamer. I do not buy the 3D gimmick and some of the games are rehashed crap (Sims, Nintendogs, etc) from earlier console systems.

Launch games are almost always rehashed stuff because they're quick to make and easy to port. But since you're not a handheld gamer not even god himself could change your mind about the 3DS so I'd also assume you have the same exact problem with Sony's NGP (PSP2).

I'm mainly a PC gamer so I don't care a whole lot about consoles, and yes rehashes is a very lazy way to have new titles for a new(ish) handheld system.

I think what he means is that this was a chance to make him care about handheld games.

Haven't seen one in person yet, just online review.

When you see it in person any kind of negative things you thought about it go away. I showed it to some people at work and they were wowed at how much depth there is going into the screen; mainly showed off AR Games and Ridge Racer which both have a good amount of depth.

Playing it makes me even more excited for future titles coming out; so the only real gripe is that we have to wait till May for the major update that opens the eShop as well as June till I grab Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked.

Playing it definitely makes me incredibly excited for the heavy hitters coming out like OoT 3D, SF 64 3D, Kid Icarus Rising, Mario Kart, Paper Mario, Super Mario...Mario Mario XD;;

I'm waiting for the Mario Kart, Paper Mario and Super Mario games too X3

I also can't wait for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton, Cave Story, MGS 3 3D, and so on. o.o;

Got the Aqua Blue one(finally a blue/turquoise DS, yey!) and Nintendogs+Cats and Pilotwings Resort with it.(-^.=.^-)
The system is pretty cool I find! Like the features like the camera, the funny Street Pass mini games, AR and surely the depth of the 3D screen.
Nintendogs+Cats still shows Nintendo has the best pet simulation ever made-The puppies are still so cute and nice detailed-Love it!
Pilotwings Resort is very cool because of the nice Wohoo Island location even I would have find it cool when they had insert some new locations and all the known games like jumping boots or the cannon, tehehe(the N64 Pilotwings had so much maps and more games so...)
Haven't used any connection to the online service yet because the games doesn't used online features. Is there even something to download already?

There is a system update already, it has some bug fixes for wireless connections as well as a 3D music video of OK Go's White Knuckles.

I'm just super excited for the future titles cause I know they're gonna be so awesome; especially Paper Mario since it's kinda made in layers already so it'd fit perfect for 3D.
I'd still connect online to get your friend code as well since you only need one friend code for all the 3DS online games; plus you can see what your friends are playing and what they're favourite game is.

Also I noticed that the 3DS Sound app actually has a minigames; the Game & Watch visualization is actually playable with the Slide Pad. XD

I think I'm gonna just skip this whole 3DS thing, I probably would never feel like playing it, considering how little I use my consoles for actual gaming
Plus the thing is just TOO DAMN EXPENSIVE. Seriously, my PS3 cost less new than a freaking 3DS

You gotta give it a try at one of Nintendo's 3DS events; the ability to view depth in games is a game changer, pardon the pun.
The ability to see down the track or accurately judge distances for platformers really makes a difference.

In the end anyone can say as much about it as they want but once you actually see the 3D in action you'll understand how cool and how useful it really is.
You just have to "take a look inside".
