Mac and Tosh have been around before (They're the little hamster/gerbil things that use politeness towards one another, "After you." "Oh, thank you" and the "Yeah, yeah, sure, sure!" lines) and Witch Lezah seems to be Witch Hazel with a name change. Buh.. why? Tina Russo is new, however. (The name sounds familiar, maybe a pun on an actress?)

The synopsis is Bugs and Daffy move inta town and do a "daily grind" sorta thing at various jobs. I envision Looney Tunes meets The Three Stooges, but with about 100 times more TOTAL FAIL

I retract this statement. After watchin' a few videos, I find this series could very well be awesome! Which is odd, considerin' I was so negative about it not 10 minutes ago.

Here's a bit of help for ya:

Lola Bunny -> Space Jam character loosely based on the "Hunny Bunny" from the old Looney Tunes merchandise.
Tina Rossa -> New character, likely based on Melissa Duck from random 50's-60's Looney Tunes shorts, The Duxorcist 1987 theatrical short, and Baby Looney Tunes.
Mac and Tosh -> AKA "The Goofy Gophers". Often a pest in the gardens of other Warner Bros. stars such as Daffy Duck or Foghorn Leghorn.
Witch Lezah -> Witch Hazel with a name change. Why now instead'a when she was created? I don't know. But it may be because Disney's witch from various Carl Banks comics has that same name. (She also has that same VOICE ACTOR in 1952's "Trick or Treat" Donald Duck cartoon.)

Tina Russo is new, but Mac and Tosh have been characters for over 60 years I think.

They were always known as "The gophers" and never had actual names if I recall.

They had names, but I think they were only mentioned once or twice, the first time when they first appeared with their name in the title I think.

Disney also has a Witch Hazel Character that appeared in their comics and at least one of their halloween specials, so they most likely changed it for copyright reasons.

Tina's the only new character up there unless they added her sometime in the past decade. Lots of people are saying they're not familiar with characters, but some of them are more obscure than others.

It's a bit disappointing they fucked up some of the names, though. Lezah should be Hazel, even though it's just spelled backwards. I don't think Gossamer ever had a name. Mac and Tosh... not sure when they got those names, but it was likely around the time that Space Jam was made.

The clips are a little slow, honestly. Perhaps they'll stand out better in context inside of a larger episode. And I see they're gently pushing Bugs and Daffy's formal relationship that's been hinted at over the decades.

I am NOT happy with what they've done to Lola. In an effort to neuter her sex appeal they've completely removed any possibility of her being the positive female character she's been up to this point. Score one for the no-sex-idiots. Now she's just a babbling idiot. Wheeee for our presentation of gender roles.

Oh, gaaawwwd I hated what they did to her. LOL! It's like they pulled her entire design from the 50's or something. There are no vids of Daffy's love interest Tina yet, but she looks way more up to date than Lola does.

Well it's a neutered feminine design. Her skirt is played up as are her head and feet while her torso is the smallest part of her. In the design, her chest is pushed backwards, decentralizing it in her design as well. Really, it's largely similar to her design in Space Jam, just reversed. The current design there is more stream-lined to Bugs and I'd wager the other characters. This makes her a more androgynous character and more "acceptable" to a main-stream audience; however, in doing this, they also changed her personality. Instead of bieng fierce and independant, they made her a socialite and a bit of an air-head. This creates a co-dependant personality and forces her to be someone more concerned with the social aspects of her life than anything else. This will play out as an emphasis on relationship with Bugs and some form of phone-dependency.

ROFL lola does look dumb and twiti looks mentally retarded. As for the show I would much prefer the originals for not only good comedy but for the nostalgic effect it has on me. I think this show isn't half bad though in the long run.

So far, I think they've got an interesting tone going for the shows. I barely heard any background music blaring like usual, the comedy seems much more low key so far. It's kind of interesting.

Ah. I did not watch that drivel. I hear it had a really crappy ending that explained nothing, and left watchers still confused because of writers that couldn't hold together any sort of story or side arch.

The ending was weak and abrupt, but it was easy to follow and understand, I think the people who were confused were the IQ level who like daytime soaps...

So I finally got to see the videos clips of the new Looney Tunes, and they made some that are actually decent, it still looks weird, and most of the voices sound off that I have heard... who knows, it has about a 99% chance of being absolute suck, but some people will cling on to that 1% chance it's watchable.

Batman and Superman were good, JL/JLU saw the beginning of the decline of animation quality, and Batman Beyond was pretty decent.

At some point in time, someone somewhere made looney tunes. It became popular because it was good, funny interesting, had engaging characters.

Why can't this be done again without reusing old characters?

Just watched a couple more clips I can't stop enjoying watching Speedy slapping Daffy. But yeah the show does have merit.. Unfortunately is anyone else going to read a double meaning into Daffys description of Foghorn having "two weird balls hanging from his chin" while doing some kind of hand gesture. I mean after looking at Foghorns head shot afterward it does come off with that imagery. Much like the one made about Peter Griffin. But it is odd yet funny watching Sam come out ahead of Bugs and Daffy in his clip. Hopefully this isnt the only stuff that is funny about the show.
