Not entirely sure if anyone watching me will be able to help...but worth a try.
I want to go to Otakon this year. BUT, my friends gave me a deadline as far as rooming with them two months ago...and back then I didn't know I had the funds....well, now I do and they are like 'sorry, we got a room, no extras' (Which, I know a lot of people have one or two extra people sometimes...)
So I'm wondering if anyone who's watching me will be going and would like to room with me (if they have a room...I'm pretty sure everything is booked solid by now X_x)...
Now, I would go to AnthroCon, but there isn't quite as much there for me...I mean, yeah I'm a furry...but I was an otaku first....and I still am.
so, yeah...comment or PM...PLZ

My anime club goes every year so we get a huuuuuge discount on rooms. And, if there are any extra slots, we can bring a friend. But I decided not to go this year. -_- Sorry man.
I did go to AnthroCon last year though and that was fantabulous... but I am closer to a furry than an otaku. x3 I was quite out of place at Otakon since I'm a very casual anime enthusiast. But both are fantastic conventions.
I like anime...I mean, I've watched a lot of shows and played a lot of japanese games, so I feel pretty comfortable surrounded by all the crazyness. I also LOVE Japanese rock music...so I'm really hoping they get a GOOD band this year and not some lame Jpop group. >:[
I used to go to Otakon a lot more...and I got into a few bands after I went (didn't get to see them AT the con...but discovered them because of the con.)
I just feel like I'd be awkward and out of place at AnthroCon...At least without actually going with other friends...which none of my local friends are furries. X_x
I can't be spontaneously arty....because most of the time it looks like shit. >:[
I like all the video pannels at Otakon. Just chilling out and watching some silly AMV's or something...or people make fools of themselves in bad cosplay. :B
terrible anime cosplay = funny.
Then you get the people who have HOLY CRAP AWESOME costumes. 8D
