That's right, this isn't just another journal whoring out some random artist that I may or may not be getting bribed to advertise. >P
I want to sharpen my skills as a writer by putting out some short storys that I can only hope some of you might enjoy reading.
As you're probably already aware, those of you that pay attention regularly, I've recently finished off my first short story that I care enough to actually have anyone read. The feedback that I got was primarily positive and it made me feel great knowing that you guys enjoyed my work!
So here's the deal, as the title of his journal says, I'd like to do another trade of some sort.
What you get:
-A short story up to approximately 10 pages. Actual length will vary depending on how much story there is to write about - there are simply too many variables to be able to give a number more specific than that.
-The story may contain the depiction of any character you like - yours, mine, your friends'(with proper permission sent to me by them of course). For now, I would like to keep the cast fairly small, though it is negotiable. I am also capable of creating characters needed to fill any role the story calls for.
-Nearly any uncensored(or censored, if requested) content the story calls for - I have very few limits on what I will write: violence, sex(with the exception of some fetishes - this will be discussed privately), drug use, and other mature/adult situations. I'm not very squeemish, I promise.
-As accurate of a portrayal of the involved characters as I can manage - I will gather all the information I can from you or whomever created the given character so that I can give you the most precise story that I can.
-Several work-in-progress updates if you would like them. This is to ensure that you are enjoying how the story is written, that I am giving an accurate representation of the characters, that you like the direction of the story, and so that you end up with the best piece of literature I can muster for you.
-The right to critique, pick at, harass, and gnaw on me. As a matter of fact, I invite it. It helps keep me on track so that you get your piece sooner and I become a better and more focused writer.
What I would like from you:
-Some amount of patience with me. I primarily write when the mood strikes me, and I can't scare that up all the time. Usually if I try to force it, it will end up being shit.
-A piece of visual artwork. Make me an offer - I'm not picky, I promise. Color is loved, shading and backgrounds are things that are enjoyed quite a bit but I can easily live without. I have Cyanide and Lithium(each have visual references), and I have a third character that I'm still looking for help on concept art with but the catch is that his reference is text only(but you'd get a lot of creative freedom to have fun with it).
-I don't expect WIPs, the right to critique or harass you, or any other such grace. Being able to watch my piece be made on a stream would be nice, but isn't required by any means.
-You don't necessarily have to let me even choose a pose if the piece is more than an icon or head shot. I can present ideas if you would like, but I'm also perfectly content to let you have fun with it and do what you like.
