Pokemon, Knights and Whinney the Pooh

My brother and I have had the chance to play two rather underrated games recently; those being White Knight Chronicles and Splatterhouse (2010).
Both games got a pretty darn thorough crapping on from reviewers, of which I can understand; and yet after playing it, get the feeling like we were playing different games entirely. Now I'm not going into detail on the Splatterhuse remake, if you want a really fair review of that game, look up the Happy Video Game Nerd's review; in fact, watch all his videos pertaining to Splatterhouse.
Instead; I'll talk about WKC, starting with how much a firggin love this game. Now granted, this game isn't perfect, in fact, it's more or less kinda okay. But the feeling I got out of playing it, was the feeling of all those old console RPGs back in the day, that weren't Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Y'know, the ones that happily filled the void between major releases, and the ones that cared more about doing a cliche well, than being oh-so original in concept.
Let's talk about the good; first off, I still can't believe the voice overs are not crap. Usually that's the first thing they mess up in localization; but I guess that's one of the blessings of the modern age, as our voice actors seem to want to. . . well, act. The combat feels a lot like a mix of Dragon Age and Final Fantasy XII. . . which is to say; it's got the party banter, character creation, and faux MMO feel. . . although it does actually have a huge and fun MMO aspect to it. In FFXII; one of the worst thing was the length of time it would take to go anywhere, and the sheer amount of annoying difficulty spikes; especially when encountering UBER elemental monsters that would just wreck you, even if you ran away. WKC doesn't have any of that crap; and with the exception of 2 dungeons, the areas are fairly straight-forward without feeling dumb-downed to meet standards (granted the game is on the easy side). Character Creation is kinda a let down, even if it allows for a metric TON of choice in appearance, more so than I'm even used to in a game of this genre, since you really have no impact on the plot-line. And while story is nothing to write home about, I actually didn't dislike any of the characters; and really loved the Knight concept. I mean, it's freakin badass, and I cannot wait to get my own in WKC2. Online's a blast, and making friends and building your town reminds me of Dark Cloud and the like, and you can really feel an evolution of Level-5 concepts at work here, even down to the Crystal Camera and binding Toads.
Now for the bad; it's short. Real short. If you're like me, you'll be on NEW GAME+ in no time, and if you're also like me, you would have saved the online component for late-game, thinking it'd interfere with story. NO. The online component is a blast, but be sure to keep an eye out for quests, and try actually doing them, otherwise you'll have to take on Guild Rank 1 missions at level 40, which is a chore, unless you've got some fellow poo souls that did the same (which are plentiful, to say the least). Also, a few layers of complexity with the online component are not as well-explained as they should be, such as building a town, and dealing with materials for creation, bu again, that's what the Internet is for. And on a technical note, a lot of scenes in-game are jarring, as transitions happen a little amateurishly, almost like they were edited in late, or something.
Other than that; it's a fantastic little game, that has me excited for the sequel, and coming up with fancy names for my Knight. Prolly something like Lilliana, of the Golden Lilies.

I expect Splatterhouse to be a beat-em-up, tear them up, sorta game with a demonic storyline.
How's it handle?
I played Splatterhouse 2 and 3 (and actually beat 3) and just wondering if the new one is good. it LOOKS good.
But trust me, the HGVN will tell you why, better than I can XD
rent it or sumfin o 3o
Overall I like it, and was lucky enough to have a a friend who was interested in the game too, so we were able to get some fun out of the online componant. I just wish that plate armour didn't look like it had breasts, on the guys, and that most multiplayer characters didn't look so narmy.
I loved Splatterhouse as well, though to be honest I wasn't too fond of the ending after what I had to go through on one of the more frustrating bits near the end (fuuuuck those stupid tron zombie wraith things and their removing your arm the second they touch you). Plus Tigger telling you to murder things in the most grusome manner possible is kinda hilarious.
As for pogeymans, as long as you aren't like anybody on GTS; i.e. your trading logic boils down to "lawl give meh a level 100 Arceus for level 5 Gothita" then sure I'll trade with you and whatnot, I doubt I'll be any good to battle though, besides maybe with on a battle multi train or something. My squad is kinda a mess, still using my 5th slot to keep a HM whore in so I can get about while hunting for the few TMs I've got missing.
but during training something kewl happened. . .
Mine is unbalanced in that two are level 100 and kinda overpowered, my Haxorus for example has about 432 attack. The second is a Gallade I spent the last 3 games concocting into a physical sweeper, kinda fragile against physical attacks though ironically. The rest of the squad besides a Zekrom I use as a HM slave are exactly level 77 and are mostly unremarkable at the moment. Though a Reuniclus with trick room can be kinda nasty because of how abysmally slow they are.
They're also all infected with pokerus somehow o3o
