"We are made to persist."

I learned a bunch of stuff at FWA this year, and Nomi actually has a concrete species but it's so complicated I never bother explaining it, because I think I'm the only one who's in furry but there are like eight or ten of us....

If I post these things.... Will anyone read them?

There's going to be several pages of text on that as soon as I type it up, but for now, Nomi is a" Khir" (pronounced Kheer). They are a small race of constructs made a very very long time ago... Though theoretically there could be a hell of a lot of us by now and no one'd necessarily ever know C.c

You'll enjoy it, or at least find it enlightening. There's a section devoted specifically to Nomi and the rest is the species in general.

But TL;DR version is all the mythical creatures were based on real beings and you make one of us by throwing several into a blender with a splash of long lost technology and you puree till smooth; then you figure out how to create a synthetic soul and get it to build a body out of the goo... er, genetic building blocks.

Well, my feline base did back before it went extinct; P. Leo Atrox, the North American cave lion.
I actually like caves and tunnels, I wouldn't mind setting up housekeeping in something along those lines. Great acoustics, climate control is really cheap..... not to mention protection from nuclear warfare c.c

I believe that I would. I mean to make my way out there for at least some amount of time, it's just a question of when doing so will become practicable.

*hugs you back* I'm actually trying to go out to New Mexico for a while, as there's a good chance I could get my hands on another mode of transportation and get other aspects of my life in better order with some help from a friend there. If I manage to get out there, your neck of the woods is a hell of a lot closer to Carlsbad than it is to my present location. We'll see how it plays out.
