I heard Lorelai on the campus station here not too long ago. It made me all kinds of happy.

the new fleet foxes is sooooooo good. seriously cant get enough of it. lorelai is my favorite song of the year so far.

Yeah I must admit I now understand what all the fuss is about and I couldn't agree more Lorelai is the the paramount track of the album.

I knew the day would come when I liked something by Architecture in Helsinki. Since when do they do retro electro?

Also, yay Fleet Foxes. :D I liked everything in this post, for once.

Yeah Helsinki has a new sound and truth be told, aside from those two tracks, I hate their new sound.

I am anticipative; I hate their old sound. :B

It warms my heart to know I'm not the only one who's soul's been crushed by AIH's new sound :( Their first two albums were SOOOO good, it makes me cry they're still putting out music - but it's nothing like it should be.

They are far and away one of my favorite bands of all time so I was seriously squealing with glee when I found the download and then I listened to it at work and I was so disappointed. And did you mean their 2nd and 3rd albums where good because I didn't really care for their first album (Fingers Crossed).

Uh oh! I absolutely ADORE Fingers Crossed. Such mellow, charming, wistful tweey pop. I mean, come on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kX2ESHgyv0 It's one of my "perfect" albums where every track is unique and of equal quality. The second album is nearly as good, but starts getting a little crazy. The third album is where I dropped off. There's a few fun tracks, but quite a few that are just grating. After that it gets even worse... :(

The manic energy and loopy bravado of In Case We Die and Places Like This is what sparked my infatuation for Architecture In Helsinki. So I'm sure you can understand why I was never a fan of Fingers Crossed.
