sad journal for anyone who reads my journals

My dog sammy had to get put down this morning...he had prostate cancer, kidney failure, rotten teeth, dementia, cataracts, deafness. He was 16 years old. He was getting really sick so it was time before he started to suffer really bad. Anyways...he was my first pet so...I'm just not gonna be online ok?
I deal with the stuff in private and this is a lot harder than my cat. Sammy was my boy and devoted to my mom.. I just.. I'm blah. I expect him to be pacing around...I wish I could run up to him and hug him.

Aw geez... Skiota, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I lost a dearly beloved cat affectionately known as "nurse kitty" a month ago and I truly understand the part about being more than just an animal and part of the family. Loss is tough to deal with, but when it is one of our babies that we've developed such strong bonds with it can devastate our world. I don't know that there is anything else I can say that may ease your pain besides your friend Pyke is here for you.
