London - Day 2
Did a bunch of running around in London today, which was pretty cool.
Went to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum and enjoyed the Hell out of it! The figures are just amazing, and they let you get right in and prod at the statues, which was neat. I again took a bunch of pictures, a few of which hit Facebook, but since the hotel charges for WiFi, I can't justify uploading everything.
We then wandered on the tube down to the houses of Parliment, and got some wicked pictures of Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Again, a lot of photos, a few of which are currently updating on Facebook.
Next came Sealife Aquarium, which had all kinds of nifty little critters, including crocodiles, sea turtles, larger sharks, and a Hell of a lot of rays. A few of the rays in a smaller tank would breach and skirt along the top of the water, which was a bit unnerving, as they tended to come right toward spectators. I also learned that in a dark place, you can't take pictures of anything fast worth beans. I tried and failed to get the sea turtles, but got a couple sharks and rays on camera.
The London Eye was next, a huge ferris wheel that gives a great view of the city skylines. I enjoyed this one because I got to sit down for half an hour amongst the bustle. I'm not a big walker, so this much running about took a toll on my feet.
Anyways, my photos are done uploading, so I'm off for today. Tomorrow is Cardiff in Wales, should be fun! Tora, I'll look for sheep!
