Pathro was the Thundercat Tech. If the Thundercats are starting out with lower apparent technology, then he's probably more of a reaction than something to be revealed in the pilot episode. Though they'd be fools not to at least lay some groundwork for him to be added later.

The fact that they said series is what really blew me away. This is something to get me watching Cartoon network regularly again.
Or, you know, at least putting it on my DVR.

And I wouldn't be surprised to see Thunderia edited out. Third Earth before was kind of a montage of bad eighties "do it for lolz now and bush it under the rug when the plot get's serious". Mumra in particular needed to be resurrected half a dozen times, and things really got sketchy when they brought in the moons of Plundar and the whole resurrection of Thunderia. Keeping it to just Third Earth is an improvement.

yeah, I just notice the lack of sky cycles, like ones the mutants used in the original run. Also it seems that they only used lizardmen as the eneimes, I didnt see Jackalmen, Monkeymen or Vulturemen.

I'm also guessing that Lion-O's father will die in battle instead of dying with a doomed planet.

This might be even better than the original, imo. Everything about it is looking mighty good and interesting. Something I'll wanna stay tune to. :3

The original one was good, I just hope that this one would be good enough as well to stand on its own and not be a flop.

Given how the trailer looks it almost seems as if they retcon the story to say that more than just the original seven Thundercats made it to Third Earth but at least enough from Thunderia to form a new capital there. Plus it seems we get a look at Lion-o's father. I suppose we will just have to wait and see what the beginning episode says about the backstory of the series.

Yeah, looks like they gave it a whole new story from the ground up.
