Played through dragon age II twice now, not counting the two dozen saves I rerolled over and over to eek out additional Hawke / Anders conversation options that I could not find on youtube. #whatiswrongwithme
Totally different feel than the first game while still ... feeling like Dragon Age, I guess. It's pretty clear this is a set-up for future DLCs though and I sort of want them to happen now, not months from now. But all of my various complaints are overwritten by how much I love the cast and how much more legitimate their interactions with each other feel. WHO HAS PLAYED THIS? ._. I am this close to commissioning angry little Justice icons hwaaaaa
anyway, HERE ARE SOME NEW FURSUITS ~ i have five (!!) more foamed heads on the shelf here so expect another flood in a couple of weeks :j

i think a fenris rivalmance may be my absolute fave though...
fenris is the ONLY character i haven't interacted with much so far because almost every +friendship with him makes merrill and anders cry, and i desire their virtual approval far more.
i'll have to see if i can pull off a rivalmance with him without him leaving for good, though -- the anders & merrill rivalmances were almost more believable than the friendship ones :O

also, if you play as a mage, your brother lives instead of bethany (don't take him to the deep roads, though), so you'll have a warrior option.
it felt really confined to me, too..! i think it's because they're going to push the DLCs/expansions a lot harder with this one.. at least i hope so, anyway :O
Totally agreed re: the romance options, their stance on that is pretty badass and pleased me greatly :D

Oh, Joecifur. You can take your brother/sister into the Deep Roads with you, but you should bring Anders with you as well. After the Blight starts to take your brother/sister, Anders will sense a Grey Warden nearby, who'll take your sibling with him. The sibling will survive the Joining, and you'll meet up with him/her later.
I didn't like Isabella at first, felt she was way too flat a character .. but she has some of the best party dialogue in the game once you get past the puns. Also, her excuse for betraying me was "I like big boats and I can not lie." --....
I love Anders. ;~; His over-the-top pronouncements of love are pathetic and hilarious, esp. when my generally sarcastic/decisive Hawke just kinda goes 'uh, well, okay!.'
I also love the character design of Flemeth in DA2. She really is quite the deceiver, isn't she? All old and ragged in the first game, then pops up elsewhere in perfect middle-age health. Haha, love that dragony bitch.
I absolutely LOVE my mage character but it seriously depresses me that I can't have Bethany along with her. Carver is a douchewaffle and hates me. Anders also hates my mage because she antagonizes him on purpose and refuses to take him seriously and thinks it's hilarious.
All of my characters seem to end up sleeping with Isabela... whether I intend them to or not. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?
