I had my own little pred moment. I was feeding eels in a river by a friends batch I was staying in and I wandered what it would be like to swallow one, just a small one though (some of those buggers are two metres long). Eels are fairly easy to pick up if you do it properly (watch out if there are others around, their teeth are very sharp and point backwards). Once I got it in my mouth however it started thrashing around but was actually easier to get down than I would have thought (maybe beginners luck). It kept thrashing around for a good five minutes which felt fantastic and I didn't encounter any problems other than getting it in there so it is something I will probably try again some time. This would probably be easier with snakes because they don't move as much.

I've seen people swallow fish and small lizards, usualy anoles and gold fish, but considering jellied eels are about, I wouldn't have discounted them :P

I have a fascination with wounds, death, and the ways in which people die, which is why I want to train to become an autopsy assistant. It would partly spark an interest fetish wise but, as you say, it is moreso a fascination. Besides, having a job you enjoy is much better than avoiding it for the sake of not feeling slightly guilty because of the fetish once in a while.

If you think about it, it could also be a way to "vent". Let's say we have a hypothetical person who REALLY likes gore. Would it not be better for them to be a productive member in society by being say, a skilled surgeon who simply loves his job, than somebody who tries to be a cubical worker and then snaps one day and starts cutting people up?

I know this logic probably has some major flaws in it and can't be applied to every fetish and desire out there (For example, it would be incredibly difficult to find a similiar solution to say, pedophiles or people with cannibalistic tendencies), but it makes sense to me. Though I must make it clear I don't approve of RL application of harmful fetishes unless it's entirely between consenting adults (But that's another topic altogether and gets messy legally and emotionally).

Haha, that isn't quite what I was thinking though. The one you are describing sounds like they just wanted to get eaten so they could murder the pred. In what I was describing, its more like the prey murdered to get eaten, or to get closer to its sensation in a dangerous way.

Ahh, well there are so many possibilities that can insue towards the prey like being deep fried alive which would basically mean they've been scalded to death,crushed by heavy objects where then the predator would lick off some of the mess off it if it were used. Can't think of anything where its in such a dangerous situation without harm or something.

Well, I think in this case the problem of who is pred and prey in terms of dominance and submission cannot be easily applied. But prey would definitely be dominant, and will do whatever it takes to gain some degree of vorish pleasure using another living person, but still in the mindset of prey. Dominant prey. Haha.

The reasons as to why people like this fetish has many different roots. For some people it is very sexual , to others it isn't. For some it is attractive for its morbidity, to others it is attractive for its representation of love. Its quite vast.

As mentioned to someone else here, the appeal of vore is very very broad. To some it is not all about devotion or feelings, or of course if someone was truly insane they would not be thinking properly.

The appropriate mindset here might be: All they want is to get into another creature. To be able to feel it to some extent. Their target is more willing when they are being forced rather than otherwise. To be engulfed or surrounded by the fresh warm flesh of of the target, as if eaten by them. Putting the arms down the throat would feel orgasmic . Getting under their ribcage will give the feeling of being dominated by them ,etc etc.

Any odd psychotic killer is possible of these acts, yes, but their reasons and mindset at the time would be a little different; just like how a cannibal doesn't necessary have the mindset of a predator vorarephile. (they might actually hate what they are doing)

As far as I have heard most cannibals are very keen on gaining the power of their prey. This would make sense in some instinctual way. Of course many people are just plainly coocoo, but some insanities or fetishes can be pointed to some old instincts conflicting with others. I am not sure if experiences in the womb have anything to do with it, but entering another body is of course the main instinct leading to sex, and I wonder if there is a connection there.

Yes there is a connection there (between vore and sex), sometimes only though... because of course entering the body is for the male. Yet this fetish still exists in straight females. Even females (or males) who find the act of intercourse disgusting or uninteresting. So either the fetish has a different root, or many different roots depending on the individual.

A personal appeal for vore is plain and simply an extreme form of dominance and submission. Though I have to admit that I am still a stranger to my own fetishes, not knowing where they came from. Sometimes I also believe that it can be hereditary. (because many of my immediete family , and extended family I suspect to be vorarephiles. Even caught my sister drawing vore when she was 4) Also since in this I can see from both the predator and prey perspective, my feelings and views get mixed up a lot.
