Opinion Needed - "Comic Commission"

Lift Hard.
What is the interest level for an adult themed comic commission that would run 4-5 pages?
Would a flat working rate (ie. $100 per page black and white with tones) be fair or should it be based on the individual project? (ie. After taking a minimum down payment we would work together to flesh out the story idea and depending on level of complexity and number of panels I would quote you an overall price)
What would be a reasonable timeline to have the project done for you. 2 weeks? 3 weeks? a month? two?
Do you have any questions for me?
I'm really curious about this as I'm pondering offering a comic commission for one person instead of working on several smaller images for different people
Thanks in advance

Just a suggestion. I think it would be worth doing a few B&W pages to get the feel of the work load and time spent, before gauging and pricing colour sheets. I'd fear undercharging yourself too soon and feeling overwhelmed (or underpaid) by the end of it.

A time line should be relative. how long does it take you to do a page? Is it complex, is there a lot of text (a normal page is 3 to 5 drawings) a week per page is fast, while a month per page is really slow... unless you are doing many projects per month.
are you willing to possibly burn yourself with arting? what are your limits? the guy of pal comics has been at it for a while and got tired of all the loli / spanking commissions.
hope this helps

as far as timeline I'm looking to see what other people would expect not what I expect of myself.
I'm not looking to burn myself out.. I'm actually just looking to take on one comic commission and close shop finish that and then reopen commissions later whether they be comic or otherwise
one comic at a time, then a week to two weeks a page is a good speed. unless you feel like knocking out 2 or 3 pages a day. again depends on if you have anything going on, something comes up and the like.
too easy to abuse, and even if i dont abuse, too easy to be accused of abusing it... dont even want to test it
should give you a good idea how long it will take ya and adjust accordingly. you "price" by the hour and they are none the wiser.
then simply adjust to the content, how much writing you have to do, and wither or not your interested in the subject matter.
2h+simple+interested = $85-$110 per page
$50+$25+$10
4h+complicated+not your thing but you needed the $ anyway = $150 - $200
$100+$50+... $50 and so on. gives them a price and you an idea how long the project will take.
To be frank, I have a few ideas that I've been curious to run with, but I'd be interested in turning it into a pulp product. Were that the case, how would it affect your decision to either take the commission or be paid for it?
Would I charge more knowing someone would be trying to resell it?
Probably, but how would I know? I could ask, but they could lie.
I'm really not very familiar with the Rules of Acquisition... but I'm pretty sure one of them has to be:
Thou Shalt Not Burn Profitable Bridges Behind Thee.
If you do decide to do this let me know if you are in fact interested. It'd take some talking and there may be no conclusion, then again it may turn out to be profitable for both of us. I've already demonstrated my willingness to finance a comic with regard to Beyond the Veil.
Hell if you're interested I may have a permanent gig for you as the new artist on that comic. :P
Maybe if we created a refund account somewhere where a bunch of people donated $10-50 and if not enough money was raised, we'd get our money back. Just an idea, though.
want a comic of your char+a friend's char? split the costs
