You gotta give people a chance, dude. It's kinda weird for most people going from calling someone they've known awhile one thing to calling them something else, especially for people who might actually have fond memories of you when you were going by that other name. People are naturally resistant to change. Don't worry. The people who know you're worth the effort and appreciate you as a friend will make the change no problem, just expect them to slip up now and then a little at first. Anyone who doesn't respect your desire to be called what you want to be called..fuck em, who needs them anyways?

Besides, 'Cy' sounds cool, like 'sigh'. It can be an sad sound, but it can be the sound of someone at peace and contented, too.

It's not so much the name as what the name implies, or means to me. There are people still referring to me as Foxhound on purpose, as if to use it as leverage over me.

I'm very comfortable being called by my real name though. =)
