ANOTHER MEME, GAWSH. After this, I'm gonna take a nap here in the library. So tired. X.x

LAYER ONE : THE OUTSIDE
- Name: Dixie
- Eye Color: Blue
- Hair Style/Color: Long, brownish red (need to re-dye it the auburn color I like), hasn't been styled in three or four years so it looks kind of wild, NEEDS TRIMMED SO BAD. Or does it? It looks cute as it is, to me.
- Height: 5'6"
- Clothing style: Bootcut jeans and black band t-shirt, though it's starting to get warmer and WEARING BLACK IN THE SOUTHERN SUMMERTIME IS MURDER. I'll probably do some shopping on Torrid once I can afford it again.
- Best physical feature: I dunno. I kinda suck in all ways, IMO, I'm not gonna lie. I guess if I had to choose, I'd pick my butt, because it's big and round and makes a nice cushion to sit on. My belly's nice too, I guess. I love my pudge. <3

LAYER TWO: THE INSIDE
- Your fears: Amputation, being deserted, failing in my career path
- Your guilty pleasure: Food, sweet things, traveling by myself
- Your biggest pet peeves: When people complain about things they really shouldn't complain about. When people complain too much. When people judge things they don't fully understand. People pushing me to be something or someone I'm not. People applying titles and roles on me that ought not be placed. People playing their music or talking so loud that I can't hear myself think. Being in crowded locations where the presence of others makes me feel awkward or like I can't get any work done, or like I'll just be ignored and talked over.
- Your ambitions for the future: I want to advance the use of GIS technology in wildlife management, via work for the state and federal government, as well as the nonprofit sector. I want to move back to the rocky mountains or the Pacific northwest. I want to see every state in the US and every province of Canada, preferably on motorcycle. I'd also love to progress my skills on guitar and bass, start a band and maybe hit it big in a rock or metal act. I want to be respected and appreciated for my talents.

LAYER THREE: THOUGHTS
- Your first thoughts waking up: "Okay... what all needs done today? This, this, this and this. Then tomorrow I'll do this, this and this. Then next month I'll be ready to do this, this and this."
- What you think about most: What I have to do, what needs done, tests coming up, homework that's due, where I'd rather be, what I'd rather be doing, flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, fat chicks, the song of the day that I can't get out of my head till I've played ten seconds of it on the guitar
- What you think about before bed: What all I did or didn't do today, what still needs done
- You think your best quality is: My drive to professional and academic success. Sometimes it makes me seem asocial, callous and bitchy, but I like it. It's what keeps me going.

LAYER FOUR: WHAT'S BETTER?
- Single or group dates: Depends on the date.
- To be loved or respected: Couldn't really decide, though I honestly think they go hand in hand with each other.
- Beauty or brains: Brains. But I won't lie, beauty's pretty important too. It influences self image, which influences self worth, which in turn influences how much you can concentrate on your objectives.
- Dogs or cats: Can't really decide. It used to be dogs all the way, but lately I've been really wanting a cat. I miss the ones we had back in LA. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that my mate is allergic to them, one of our cats was given away, and the other (my favorite) I think died recently. ;_;

LAYER FIVE: DO YOU?
- Lie: Nope, never (coughcoughbullshit)
- Believe in yourself: I do my best, but it's hard sometimes when the weight of the world and others' problems drags me down. I believe that everything, in the end, will sort itself out in time, for what it counts.
- Believe in love: Well, the power of love is a curious thing. Make one man weep, make another man sing. ...But more than a feeling, that's the power of love. So yes, I do believe in love. I do believe it's true. Lol Huey Lewis. Yes though, it's there. Otherwise nobody would care about it as much as they do.
- Want someone: Huh? Well yeah, everybody needs somebody sometimes. Though I admit, a lot of the time I just want to be left alone. Which is weird, coming from somebody who does her very best to be nice to people.

LAYER SIX: EVER?
- Been on stage: Yeah, loved it. Can't wait to do it again.
- Done drugs: Yeah, didn't like it.
- Changed who you were to fit in: Definitely. It's the story of my life. I'm learning not to do that as much now though.

LAYER SEVEN: FAVORITES
- Favorite color: Imperial violet
- Favorite animal: Deer, dogs (huskies, corgis and black labs), foxes and wolves (I felt the way I do about these before I knew they were the most common furry species in the fandom), dairy and beef cows, piggies (I have mixed feelings on them honestly, but they really are amazing animals)
- Favorite movie: I dunno. LOTR, Tron, Spaceballs, Canadian Bacon, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Dorkness Rising are all pretty amazing though.
- Favorite game: Right now? Fallout: New Vegas. This game is the shiiiiiit.
- Favorite book: Good question. I don't read all that much, never have. I should really change that. If I had to choose though, it would be Marty Stouffer's Wild America - it was my source of inspiration growing up.

LAYER EIGHT: AGE
- Day your next birthday will be: March 1st, the same as my last birthday and the one before it
- How old will you be: 23
- Age you lost your virginity: Probably 18 or 19
- Does age matter: Given my precedent of all my mates being older than me? You think I'd say no. But yes, it does matter. Age difference means a difference in generation, a difference in perspective and a different set of pop culture icons to be familiar with. All the time I hear "oh my god you don't remember that? I feel so old!" and I feel terrible because I feel like a child in comparison.

LAYER NINE: IN A BOY OR GIRL
- Best personality: I... really don't know. O.o Lighthearted most of the time, but can pick up on when I want to be serious. They're strong, supportive, don't complain, don't constantly bring up their problems, and try to stay positive through it all. They're easy to talk to, I guess that's the main thing. They don't over-analyze things and try to see beauty before logic.
- Best eye color: That shiny, piercing silver-grey hue, the kind that glimmers and lets you see that they've been through a lot, but don't let it phase them
- Best hair color: I dunno really. Brown's nice. Unnatural can be awesome, depending on if the color matches their personality. Guess other dark-redheads get the most love from me though.
- Best thing to do with a partner: light cuddling (I'm honestly not interested in sex, sorry), small doting kisses (I'm not that interested in making out either), going to dinner, intriguing conversation about history, politics, science and philosophy. To be perfectly honest, my favorite things to do with a partner are the same things I enjoy doing with a best friend. I don't want any more than that.

LAYER TEN: FINISH THE SENTENCE
- I love: my mate, traveling, being free from the confines of social transgressions, the Wilderness, the open road, watching deer and elk, getting things done, solitary meditation, the feeling I get when I stare out from the Great Divide and see all there is to see, that everything in the end is right, honest and pure.
- I feel: tired, bitchy, driven, but most of all, honest
- I hide: my real opinions on things in the name of being polite and not upsetting those I care about
- I miss: Flying. Long trips on a steel horse. Being respected by my academic peers
- I wish: I didn't have to give up pursuing my pilot's license. I wish I'd bought another motorcycle by now. I wish I had more personal and financial security. I wish I didn't feel like one bad move on my part would lead to the dropping out of my entire life. I wish I didn't feel like I was walking on broken glass all the time.

So that's that. Sorry this was so angsty and depressing. But now, I can work on getting better. ^^
