Ok, here is a trick I used to use when My cub used to bring them home. Get some Tea tree oil and mix a few drops with your regular shampoo. It's non toxic so you can use it all the time. Little buggers can't stand it.
Wash all your bedding and dry it on hot setting in your drier. Run your pillows through the dryer as well. Wrap your Mattress in a sheet of plastic and place a block of Dry Ice before sealing it up. Let it stand all day after the ice has evaporated. Every thing needs oxygen to service. CO2 displaces the O2 and suffocates anything living in the mattress and box springs. You just need to make sure the CO2 is contained around the item you are trying to exterminate. This works equally well on flies and bedbugs. Added feature is it leaves nothing toxic behind. Once done spray the carpet with your favorite bug bomb and your done. Have fun...

Lice are Stupidly hard to get rid of, but Puma's sound like they would work, while you're at it do the same dry ice treatment for any similar furnature like Couches, sofas, and just about anything that is cloth covered but too big to fit in the washer and dryer.
