I'm home now, recovering from the surgery. Back is very stiff and sore, but the hydromorphone I was sent home with helps quite a lot. 
Shiuk, bless his soul, is helping me with my daily needs while my movements are restricted. Recovery is just starting, but is going well so far. I have all of next week to spend at home healing up, thankfully, before I have to return to work.
