That's simple. I would pick a knight. Then, i would work for either the meat cleaver, or the Dragon bone Smasher. Meat cleaver must be made, but it's EASY to make, i believe. And the Dragon bone smasher you get for having Pure White tendency on the Dragon God stage. You find it on the left as soon as you go to fight him. The armour, i would go with either the Brushwood armour, which you get for either pure black/white tendency on the first stage, going to the gate on the left. Or, The Dark Silver armour, which you get from...... either killing the black phantom of the guy on the cheiftan's stage instead of killing that lady at the end.... or just kill the regular him. That would do it for your first playthough. If you can get Old king Doran's armour, that would be good too, but if you're a girl.... well then. XD

Well, since you're going for a purely slow, heavy hitter, i would go with the Purple flame sheild, upgraded as far as you can. Once it's maxed out, it pretty much becomes the best over all sheild in the game anyways, so I would go wtih that. ^_^ And as a smaller, very good back up sheild, go with the Dark Silver sheild. VERY GOOD against magic. Just like the armour of the same name.

Dexterity is AWESOME for any bow that you get. And some weapons gain FAR MORE of a damage bonus for dexterity than they do for strength. Dexterity is just good over all to get. ^_^
