I was in California for about 6 hours and I didn't spot a single furry. Everything I've heard has been lies. In addition, am now back home. Sayonara Japan, it was a good year and a week. It's cold here and there is reverse culture shock on my face.
Soooo, I gotta decide. Go back to Japan next spring with new visa, or should I get started on South America? I know there are a few S Americans dicking around here, so any advice is appreciated especially in the peru or argentina departments. Except from Caesarcub, because he eats too much mozzarella to be of any value to me. Or should I finally grow up and go back to school? Life choices make my brain hurt, that's why i leave them to others.
In anycase, this all should mean an increase in porno. Possibly. I might be too busy watching Lost in Translation and crying everyday.

In serious advice I haven't got anything to offer though. I'm wonderring what you were doing/are planning on doing in Japan/S.America though.. and just because I wanna go there myself, I'd suggest going to japan again.

Nah, this is just the most effective way I could think of in which to piss away my youth and make everyone else insanely jealous. It's the two birds one stone system.
Seriously though, school might be a good option unless you're already well set in life and don't need a degree.

Well it all depends on you. If you feel that you would like to do more backpacking around the world then go for it. Honestly that sounds like it's a fun and awesome thing to do. But if you're ready for school...what is it that you think you'd like to do? Teaching? Maybe you can get your teaching degree and certification, then do the world some more helping folks learn how to speak English.
No idea about degree or long term aspirations... so I guess until I figure it out, dicking around the globe?
