They need to do more stuff with Drift

Wheeljack reminded me a lot of Drift actually, but hopefully they'll stick him in later on down the line!

Yeah, that was an interesting twist, but i'm pretty open to all the TF series and it's quirks...besides Beast Wars/Machines. I could not for the life of me since I was a kid get into it. I plan on trying to perhaps MAYBE watch it all in it's entirety but i'm not sure how that will fly. Lol

BWs is fine, its its own thing with nods to the orginal.

I have issue when they take a character and make them someone else. Maybe its just me.

I'm fine with: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Downshift_%28Energon%29 - Someone with the same "mold" or fashion sense as Wheeljack, but is still his own character.

But when you combine the two, Name and Looks, but get the personality wrong, then I'm pissed off. It's not like there isn't a crap ton of guys they couldd have used if they wanted "Badass Wrecker" or even "Badass Wrecker Car" http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Wrecker they could have even tried to hype DOTM and name him after one of THOSE wreckers.

Hell, Even 'Mad Inventor' Wheeljack could have filled the role, without changing his personality, its not like the Wrecker's haven't employed them before: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Ironfist a badass weapons engineer using his inventions to escape from a Decepticon stronghold, would have, to me at least, been SO much more interesting then Drift 2.0 pulling a jack bower.

When you go 90% of the way, don't fuck up the last bit, otherwise don't be so strict in making him look like a stylized version of the toy currently on shelves.

You do have a point there. I don't know, I'm not as adamant on some of these ideals but I know where you are coming from. As soon as he started, well, doing his thing, he did as you pointed out, was basically a Drift 2.0 LOL. Just, well, not Drift. In all honesty it would have made more sense for him TO be Drift but meh, I liked the character for what he was and take everything in each universe as it comes for the most part.

You also make a good point about the toy, good chance he'll probably not show up in an Animated toy line considering the Generations one looks remarkably the same and Hasbro apparently has a weird thing about putting up figures that look to much the same, like Soundwave for a long time. Could be wrong though, but not sure when that will come to pass in the first place considering how only now some of the newer stuff is starting to leak out onto shelves.

And haha, ah, they could have named him after those Wreckers like Topspin and Roadbuster (not sure about the other one, and even if these are right, i'm only going off of the leaks of the toys that have been out of those Wreckers) but then again, who knows, they might bring these characters in later in other episodes as this show is supposed to last a good 4 seasons or so.

Close enough to Drift, cocky swordsman that can take on impossible odds and is a perpetual badass. It's just kinda boring, but I could deal with it if he didn't look spot on for Wheeljack, using Wheeljack's name. Everyone else is similar to their namesakes. Bumblebee is Movie Bee, Prime is Movie Prime, Ratchet is like a Young Animated Ratchet, Megatron is sorta Animated Megatron, Bulkhead is an older Animated Bulkhed. Starscream is mostly Animated Starscream with being a more subtle and patient planner. The really 'new' characters Arcee and Soundwave have much more unique looks.

Hasbro is only concerned about releasing similar looking figures, if they'd be on the shelf at the same time. Prime's toyline won't be out till the fall, with the first wave being the main characters. So Prime Wheeljack will likely get a toy by this time next year. Soundwave is a different problem, Fans want him a tape player or sound related, but now adays Hasbro hardly does non-vehicles (which is another rant of mine) so they needed to find away to do him.

Leadfoot is the red one, we've only seen a Legend figure of him so far.

Good season, have to find the rest of the epps.

The stories are cute in some respects and very well done, I agree. I like the aesthetics for the show, fits well with how they portray the bots for me alongside the humans, but i'm pretty ok with a lot of TF designs, besides Beastwars/Machines. Cliffjumper made me sad, especially since he had a whole little comic book dedicated to him meeting up with Arcee.

Thoughts on Knock Out? :3

I love him. And hate myself for loving him. He's such a snotty bastard. Reminds me of Sunstreaker but a lot more suave. I have to watch the rest of the episodes however, but so far what I have seen from clips, yeah, he's pretty awesome.

Just not as awesome as Megatron in my book, but hey! ;)

I've discovered that I really like vanity as a character flaw in bad guys, and KO is hilarious because of it. If it hadn't been for him, the street racing episode would have been a snorefest.
