Need artists / Muchi
I'm having trouble finding artists who can draw clean toony feral birds. Seems all the feral artists I find draw only mammals, or only porn... :c
There's a lot of people willing to do feral or quad felines/canines/vulpines. I figured if you watch me, maybe you watch others who do toony bird characters...
Worth a shot. Just I'm not too interested in anthros. My character's not anthro and my boyfriend's character is a wolfy smoke monster.
Below is reposted from my Livejournal:
Pretty much decided at this point that anthro Muchi is sort of diluting the character - the anthro version was more for convenience when interacting with other anthros and she didn't really contribute much. Problem is, I still quite like her, I just don't think she's Muchi.
I can either consider anthro Muchi as a non-canon version or just try to phase her out entirely. It occurs to me that, seeing as I like drawing her (specifically the body type) it would be a shame to stop :C And it feels cheap to try and change her slightly to make a new character.
Ugh.
The character Muchi should just be considered as the feral form, is what I suppose I'm getting at. Not that I roleplay or anything, but yeah. That's what she is.
I will figure out what to do with anthro Muchi in time. I will no longer be commissioning images of her anthro form.
End of repost.
So, you can probably work out why I'm looking for artists. When I do have the money to commission again, I want to find artists who can draw my character!
Thanks.
EDIT!: I am compiling a list of possible artists to commission, however considering how many people I now have popping up, please keep in mind it's likely I won't be able to commission everyone on the list straight away. I will however be keeping the list so in the future I might commission you/them. Thank you!

And while you're still fleshing out your toons, your gallery is lovely and very promising. I'm a little embarrassed, I knew of your art already and honestly thought I'd already watched you. Glad you commented, otherwise I probably wouldn't have noticed the mistake!
I need a reference sheet but I'm always unable to get things to look good enough and consistent enough for a ref sheet.
I'm trying to get Sam to sketch it out for me. I can ink and color myself.
I do hope you find what you're looking for though! Best of luck~ And I can totally understand everything you just said. I have to say I find feral birds more adorable. But I'm probably just biased. XD
And I think feral birds are easier to see as characters because they're already bipedal and we see birds so often in day to day life, we're used to them. They're almost like little people. But then, I am biased xD
Yeah, that's very true! And no matter what form they are, they're always expressive with their feathers. That's the cool thing. :3
Ah, see I think Marahute would be better (at least, more regal) in your style than the Disney style, so that should work well!
I certainly hope so! I'll scribble it down on my to-do list so I don't forget. I don't draw feral birds half as much as I should. XD
Not so much better, but anime has a lot of short-cuts and generally it's not as expressive or dynamic. A lot of artists using the style fall back on sweatdrops or that little throbbing vein thing instead of making their character express their emotions. You fall into a style where for odd reasons, snoring forms a bubble around your nostril and people yawn bubbles. Hair stops looking like hair and more like spikey primary-coloured cardboard hats. The style can be wonderful and beautiful however as anime itself is generally produced in a very small time frame, it seems rather lazy.
Also, I don't think it's productive to start off drawing anime alone. I think it's better for someone as an artist to study real life anatomy and develop their own expressive way of depicting it. If you find that you express in an anime/manga style, great! But you'll develop your own style better if you don't just copy another style.
I'll probably draw some anime-inspired work again in the future, but now I want to work on a style I feel better suits me.
Deal wit' it.
ME PICK MEEEEE *flaily arms*
I will know more about my luxury-moneys tomorrow, it's driving me looney.
This pleases me because I love drawing Muchi xDD
I was making a bead pattern of her to put on a Kandi cuff bracelet but unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on the right colours of beads xD by the way. I think I told you about that a few months ago- and I was goona make it! Darn bead manufacturers.
Aaw, that would have been so cute! Shame about the bead colours though. If you make others, of other characters, I'd still love to see them :} Sounds like a fun endeavour. Haha, if you made glow-in-the-dark rainbow paw-prints you'd probably sell a lot fast xD Furries love that sort of thing.
Make bird feet bracelets too- I may have to do that c: *adds to list of summer projects*
When I know about my funds, I'll be checking the comments here and I HOPE I'll be able to commission you ^^ Your commission guide is really handy too, thanks!
Wondeful! I look forward to working for you ^^
And depending on the level of toony, it can be something semi-realistic/toony, to pretty toony :)
Aaaaaand I shall watch you now :} I really love this image.
LOL! Everyone loves Paulie! =D
And everyone loves Paulie because it's a really cute pic :}
I keep watching them all. XD
Did you care for my attempt at toony muchi? (the one with Oliver)
Unfortunately, the links on your profile for commission policy and price guide doesn't seem to lead anywhere :c Is there somewhere else I can view them?
I'll add you to the list of people to stalk when I have funds xD
Goodness, I best check how many people are on this list :o
As I am already watching you, I'll just add you to the list :} Do you have commission info available somewhere I can look at..?
Kal
If you find some, I'd be glad for the help ^^ Thanks!
That said, I also sold a faerie krawk petpet back when they were only 3.8million and I wish I'd hung onto that too! xD Oh well, I have a fairly well off account anyway so I suppose I shouldn't complain.
For 10 usd I could do a speed paint doodle (Full body)
Here's a recent bird example:

I am waiting for funds to transfer from my bank to paypal at the moment, however if the offer's still open when the money's transferred I'd love to commission you ^^ Thanks!

I do have the mature filter on though... so that might be it.
You'll go far in this fandom, my friend.
And that's so interesting because a lot of people feel the opposite. Like it's strange to be in their feral forms because they can't speak, interact the same, etc. But I just want to say I think Muchi is one of the most unique and adorable feral characters I've ever seen and she has awesome style and appeal. <3 Keep doing what you do, lady.
Anyway, I'm open for commission right now, 25 bucks for a pretty damn detailed picture. It can be drawn toonyish in style but the shading will be super detailed!
As for Raisin, she's actually one of the few characters I've seen who keeps the same charm in both anthro and feral form. And yeah, Muchi will still have wing-hands, talk and wear a scarf. She just also lives in a tree, preens obsessively and acts very 'birdy.' I like the idea of an avian character having trouble communicating with mammals due to just how different they are :}
I do toony, some of my stuff is hella cute when I'm in a tooning mood. This is an example: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3676582/ I haven't done a bird in a little while, but recently I've been called upon to do wings quite a bit.
Also, off-topic, but every time I see you critique a piece I ALWAYS agree with you 100% - I really admire your ability to critique so well ^^
I'm working on a new Tos currently which you can see here: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2075523/ I'm still finalizing my pricing system though since I'm unsure as to what prices would be suitable.
Thanks. :> I try to be helpful.
It's hard keeping the style constant though, I like how you keep set to your style :P
Is for my style, thanks :} I'm messing about trying out different styles but the more I do that, the more I like how I draw Muchi normally.
