Death in the family.

One more day in my life.
Finished the quilt that needed to be done. It was easy as insomnia kicked in and I didn't sleep last night. Finished it, got a pic inked, had a friend come over to finish a photo shoot at my place and partway through it I had to cancel the shoot until next week. I got a call from my parents. My uncle died today. IT was a surprise to me, though not so much to my parents who learned he had advanced cancer earlier this week and had not yet informed me. This uncle was not a saint. As a matter of fact he was addicted to smoking, alcohol and drugs. But all my life, he was at least honest about it. He was one of those people who was honest to a fault. He never lied to you or For you. So don't bother asking. No one who knew him ever asked him how did they look, or what did he think, because he always told an unvarnished truth that made some folks think he had no empathy. I didn't know him well, but because he was one of my youngest uncles, I was closer to him than others.
As you can guess this totally throws off my plans for this weekend, and more delays for the art.
At this point, I'll be happy if I finish my art project by the end of May.
