Redacted: Reporter alert: Markham Street Films/Fanboy Confes
14 years ago
Alright, Kamber and Roxicat have personally vetted them for me per several days of their experience with Markham. That's half the battle won for Markham. The second half is the secret two minute thirty second trailer they sent me. I can't spread the link but they didn't say I couldn't describe it.
IT WAS AWESOME. When they say Fanboy Confessions, they mean sci-fi fans in general: Steampunk, Superheroes, Anime, Zombies, Furry, their world from THEIR perspective. The production is over and above G4, and the teaser features many, many fast morphs from comic book art to reality. The message is blasting loud, EXPRESSING CREATIVITY. "I dont' think I could go a day without doing something creative; It's like I think I've wasted a day if I haven't made something" "Do it yourself, make things beautiful, make things unique" Lots of footage of people making their creations in their shop. Lots of footage of people using their creations, anywhere from fursuit bowling to anime cons to street-legal Steampunk cars. The comic morphs in my opinion are designed in a way that beats uncreative dullards over the head, "We're doing THIS! Get it??"
So I'll be communicating openly with them now. They've expressed concerns about the players in the costumes consenting to their images being released, I'll be PM'ing people as needed.
And I'm looking forward to their stuff. They will be publishing in waves, it seems, separate shows for each genre, so perhaps we'll see the Steampunk episode before the furry one, and know well ahead of time how they portray things for us.

I am a bit leery of saying yes at this point having recently being a recipient to FurryCSI episode filmed so many years ago. Either PM or reply to my journal. I rather not get involved if this has bad mojo to it.
