So I'm taking a quick break from my studies, just gonna pop on FA, check my submissions, do a little browsing, and all of a sudden it hits me why FA frustrates me sometimes.

The only artwork that is high enough quality with enough effort put in it to fave is... porn. Almost without exception, if you see a piece of artwork and it's got the red lining, there's a fairly decent chance that when you go in, you'll say "Oh my, that's a fantastic piece of art." Assuming you're fingers aren't busy down below, that is... Anyway. in comparison, though, you have to literally hunt to find any good artwork that isn't depicting someone getting down and dirty. It's frustrating. A while ago I was asking myself why so much of my favorite gallery was porn; well, now I know. I can't even say it's like... percentage based. I mean, sure, there's infinitely more clean posts than non, and yet... it's like one in every four red-lined posts are decent enough to pop in and say 'that's some decent art'. In the meantime... I've just skimmed through ten pages of FA, most of it general and mature, and I found a grand total of 'one' piece of art even worth looking at. Thankfully, it was also a good enough piece to fave...

Anyway, no, I'm not mad, so dun' feel like you should sympathize with me. It just makes me a little sad that people can't seem to put the same amount of effort into clean artistry that they put into the dirty stuff. Oh well. Aki will live, and Aki will continue studying. Gonna end this here; back to studying. But to anybody watching me who can draw/photoshop/whatever you do, makes (mostly) clean art, and puts all their effort into it - kudos to you.
