HTH STUDIOS
This is a LONG ONE! I'm trying to update everyone on
what exactly has happened over the last two years and where
this is all going.
Ok first things first.
There have been some issues with some of our hardware and
HTH Studios is in desperate need of donations.DETAILS LISTED BELOW

There have been some issues with some of our hardware and
HTH Studios is in desperate need of donations.
Two of our graphics tablets have crapped out since the start of the year.
Funny thing is the new one is completely FUBAR (story of my fucking life).
One in Feb, one today. I've managed to hammer these things back together
several times over the last 4 years but they have finally tanked on us.
::A NOTE CONCERNING MY REPUTATION WITHIN THE FANDOM::
I know some people might have trust issues with me after my vanishing act 2 years
ago left the window open for Trolls. Many of these trolls have put into peoples heads
that I am a crook or the kind of person that will take the money and run. Trust me, I
understand being silent didn't help the situation. However, if I took the time to respond
to every post, shoot down every lil' troll and post the all of the updates while in production
over the last 2 years I would still be tiling the floor. I'm not kidding.
See, that whole time I was gone i was restructuring the game. All the 3d was built in that
time. All the code was written, the software aquired, the major characters updated and new
characters planned. I also had to rethink how flash was going to run the game.
So After 2 years of having stones thrown at me by everyone from troll's to hacks,
and keeping quite, just working away, I have come back, re-released the game,
continued to (rather slowly) process that list of commissions down there and I am
planning a list of games and projects a mile long.
I think we can all see now that I am not running anywhere, and I am certainly not
a crook. My current rate of production speaks for itself. Currently, I have Zoe, Rio, Sasha,
Anne, Raquel, and Cindy almost ready to go. Many new areas are in production. Real life
just tends to pop up and from time to time kick us square in the nuts...
that is part of the game.
:: WHY HTH STUDIOS HATES PAYPAL ...A cautionary tale ::
I would like to make it clear that I had been working with Paypal for a LONG time.
I was verified as a business and operated as an adult site without issue for around 4 years.
I was happy with the service they provided seeing as they where one of the few types of CCP
I could afford at the time. When I joined the site they where happy to take me on as a client
and also more than happy to take a percentage of my income.
They have a clause now banning adult content in all it's forms. When I joined no such
clause existed so I was fine. Within one month however, Early in 2010 I received a random
email from PAYPAL saying all of my accounts where frozen and my earnings where dissolved
due to a violation of their NEW terms of service.
I was put out like I shot their dog. I haven't even been able to contact them without
being put on hold and eventually hung up on.
The ONLY thing that I was able to save was the record of all pre-orders for the Rio DVD.
Once that project is complete completed you will receive what you payed for.
Now this is where it gets ugly. They have done this to thousands of people.
Many who you would never suspect. If anyone in this fandom still doing adult art and using paypal is not ready to switch to alert pay you may not have a choice soon.
I highly recommend we as a community go with what at this
time seems to be a safer option.

:: WHY CAN'T ALERT PAY PROCESS CREDIT CARDS ::
I have opted to go with alert pay because they have made it clear they are
friendly to adult companies. However they are also transitioning to a new set
of rules and are currently waiting to hear back from major credit card companies concerning
the final stages of accepting many credit cards. That is all we are waiting for.

:: MY EMPLOYMENT DILEMMA::
I've been out of work technically since November 2010, However I have
managed to keep myself afloat this whole time without any requests for donations.
It's been hard but I'm happy with the amount of time I have to work on the game.
Keeping this ship afloat is hell but it's my choice to do it.
The thing is while working on the game is slowly becoming my full time job I'm still
very far from being a stable or even partial source of income.
User donations help pay the studios operational costs (sever, hosting ect.) but they
also mean I don't have to go flip burgers and McD's house. I feel I serve the fandom
better by making games and music than by making orders of fries.
Finally, Please keep in mind I have also been working off a bare bones laptop for 2 years.
This is the last machine we have left so i'm not functioning at warp 9 to say the least.

Actually seriously, that is quite commendable how you were able to revamp HTH with better graphics and well, everything you've done for it. But yeah, .. I'm really going to have to change from using paypal. :P

In fact your friends Nick and Tyra whom went college with you in first year support my view; one of my favourite artists and you will continue to be.

To be honest, I half expected you to either never return or just say you were gonna be doing some more stuff in a few days and then just fuck off again.
I'm very impressed with how it's all going and how seriously you're taking this.
Wether if I was one of those who believed ya had eloped, well, I was almost there but since I never sent you any money or paid you for commission I didnt really have a reason to troll on ya.

Paypal are bitches. They're still sitting on $100 of donations I received for my game, and for this reason I am currently on AlertPay as well.

The DVD is literally sitting on my shelf collecting dust and it drives me mad every day i look at it.
Just bought the wife a 1100 dollar Win7 Ultimate + Office Home machine with a 2.93Ghz i7, 4gigs of 1600, 500gb hd and ATi 5670 1Gb DDR5 card. Not top of the line, but it'll do quite nicely. The great thing is you don't need gobs of power to create and edit video's. You just have to let it render overnight for the high quality stuff.
I know I'll be jealous, running my old 2 core Duo @ 2.40Ghz, Ati 3600 512meg 2Gb XP machine for a while yet before I can upgrade... Money sucks...
I will post any cool updates that I make in 3d. Once i get more info on the tablet situation I'll make a post.
Until then I'll be developing the new areas.
