Something very aggravating and messed up has been going on that I feel I need to get it out in the open. I may end up adding more to this little ditty at some point but due to recent events the pony is leaving the gate. Essentially in It's most simplistic form it breaks down to some people using a person's physical disability against them to try and spin certain things a way that they want a situation to appear that is very unflattering. Say like taking someone who is blind in one eye and then using that physical disadvantage to twist certain things so to make people think things that are not the truth. This past weekend was really the first time that I had really been out for an extended period of time, aside from jaunts with old friends since getting sick years ago. But because of the nature of my ailments I've been very much a home body since '04 due to multiple surgeries. The eye being one of them, but that was for a detached retina in the already blind eye not the lack of sight in it. Prior to getting sick my disability didn't bother me at all, as I had to deal with a lot of people due to my profession be they clients or anyone in between. But I guess since being closed off socially to a degree for this long that is no longer the case and I guess maybe it can make me a bit uncomfortable at times.
