Joined to claim my name. That's all I ever do for shit like that.

At the very least, I signed up and 'secured' my name because nothing is worse then a poser taking over your name... especially if it's the only name you've gone by for the last 10 years. Otherwise, I have no use for it, just like facebook.

I'm tempted to do that too, though someone already made a facebook of my name and some people still thought it was me, even though they were posting porn on it.. so.. yeah. Not sure if theres anything I can do about that.

On Facebook? No, not to my knowledge. I did make a Facebook account, mostly because my ex insisted I should... and despite the fact that I /never use it/ people still add and try to friend me. It's almost frustrating but at the very least I don't have to worry now about someone trying to impersonate me (I doubt this would happen, but I've had 3 stalkers in my time on the net, one never knows.)

I would never personally join these kinds of sites but I will say this, as others already said, it'd suck if some asshole rolled your name on that site then pretended to be you, especially when they actually DO a good job impersonating you, it could be hell to get that kind of issue resolved / that poser getting banned.
