I rather like MFF and FCN.

I attend FC, AC (but not this year) and RainFurrest. The cities in this order: San Jose CA, Pittsburgh PA, Seattle WA.

We do have a small gathering here in Surrey BC, however, known as Howloween. It's located at the Compass Point Inn, about a stone's throw away from King George SkyTrain Station.

I went to Howloween once a few years back, '07 I think? I keep meaning to go, but haven't managed it since.

I think I've settled on AC next year :3

Far as I know, there wasn't a Howloween in '07. It was around then that the Best Western in Coquitlam kicked us out because of our actions towards other hotel guests. In short, we got kicked out for bad behaviour. It went over to the organiser's home for that one year (2007) in North Vancouver, then from 2008 onward, it's been moved to the Compass Point Inn, over in Surrey.

Of course, I did go to that Howloween event in '07. It was a lot of fun, especially when the Virtual Boy was brought out.

Ah, yeah my memory for "when" things happened is a bit foggy around those years. I double checked my badge, it was actually '06 that we went there, lol. So long ago! Wow.

Hmmm, wonder if I can swing it this year. It would be kinda fun to go again :3

With the exception of '08, I've been attending since '05. If you do go, that'd be awesome. Would love to meet you (again, if we've met before) there! :3

I've been to AC 7 years in a row and have not had a bad experience as of yet. You can view events that have happened at AC via Youtube videos to get a taste of some events and random moments that have occurred.


is the first person I convinced to come to AC. We happened to meet at a local Anime convention called Katsucon and I found out that he was a fan of Extinctioners when I met him while at 's table. The coincidence is that he also knew of (My ride & roommate at/to Anthrocon), and we quickly became friends. I helped him choose a Fursona and a name to represent himself over the time that we chatted after that con, ultimately ending up with him coming to AC 4 months later. I'm very sure his first experience with being at a Furry convention had really been a treat for him from all the expressions he gave when he met artists that he loves.

is the second person I got to come to AC and he was eternally grateful that I did. His wife died from the rare Cancer Angiosarcoma and it hit him hard. I could tell he was very depressed by every reply I saw him make and felt that I had to help drag him out of it. The next year, I got him to come to AC and room with my group. He got broken in pretty fast and has making conversation with anyone he could talk to. He also had the chance to work his Camera skills up a storm. Ever since AC'07, he's been far more lively and active than ever before, and he thanked me with a box of Brown Rice Tea.

It's possible that you may run into people that you've always wanted to meet at AC, and a good chance they would recognize you.

I think I've decided on AC! I've heard so many good things about it, and it looks like a ton of fun. Plus like you said, a lot of people I know and want to meet with likely be there, so it'll give me a chance to finally get out and meet them! After all these years, lol.

As far as actual input goes, I'm mostly an east coaster [so I'm biased]. Anthrocon in Pennsylvania is always a fun one. Very big con, perhaps too big actually, so you can meet a lot of people or not even have known they were there without checking ahead of time ;b. MFF was nice too, up in Chicago, but most of the time I'm there I'm more compelled to enjoy Chicago than the con ;b.

I recommend Midwest Furfest in Chicago in November. I'm partial though since I run Consuite. =P

Ooh, I hadn't considered that one. I wouldn't be going this year, but I might look into it for next year :3

*nods* We are trying something new this year. I'm putting out butcher paper to allow people to draw on the tables. Hoping artists might have fun with that. If I can swing it at the end of the evening each day I want to hang the results up and possibly put it into the charaity auction at the end of the convention. *pulls out the naughty bits stickers in prep for porn*
