Ooh parents... tough one
Born family: I have a mother and a father they are happily married. My mother is a Paramedic/firefighter/College teacher and my father owns his own lawn mowing company which is extremely succesfull. He used to be a carpenter but is unable to work when a roof fell on him damaging all the nerve endings in his left arm and causing him chronic pain. I love both my parents very much however our relationship is soon to be tested when I tell my father about being transsgender, my mother anticipates me being disowned by them which is unfortunate because I really do care about them so much.
Second Family: I encountered my second family
twilight_blu and
slayne21 recently and bonded with them quickly. They took me in as their daughter providing me the support and stability I have been longing for but failing to get from my born family. They are very patient with me regardless of wether I am being a needy attention whore, or facing insecurities. I am very grateful to be considered their daughter even if not by blood.
Last but not least there's the
peifurs most-all of you have been there for me at one point or another and without your support my transition and loss of
sultry would have been almost unbearable. You are all like family to me, and though I know I can be frustrating I love you all very much. You aren't my parent's but you are family so I wanted to bring you up in this journal to say how thankful I am.
I know that's alot but what can I say... I'm lucky.

I was like "OH NO THERES NO WAY I FORGOT!!!" then I looked at the question and was like, wait a minute... >.> You're super special and not forgotten. Hence I shouted on your wall ^_^
In 1976 I left home at the age of 16 and set out on my own .. I swore to myself that I would never have anything to do with them again .. it took more than 10 years before I was able to finally sit down with them and have a decent conversation that didn't involve a lot of arguing, swearing and other dramatic depressing crap. I am thankful that I did get to know them again .. it seemed like they had changed so much..
You are truly blessed to have your biological parents and your new adopted parents .. and if you ever need a crazy uncle or something, well, look no further.. *hehe* ..I know someone that might fit that bill... *hugs*
