So yeah, prerelease was pretty fun.

I was kind of blindsided by it what with Free Comic Book Day and all, didn't know it was release time yet... Which is lame because the set looks REALLY cool. (Phyrexian mana for the win)

I went 2-2. Not as well as I'd like, but I did get some very nice cards from the new set both during and after.

I opened:
Life's Finale: Black Wrath of god that then searches the enemy library for 3 extra creatures. The best thing is that you can regenerate creatures from it. I was able to regenerate my Toxic Nim (4/1 Infect B:Regenerates) and swing for the win. Most of my wins were thanks to this card.
Torpor Orb: Prevents creatures from triggering abilities on entry. Probably very nice in constructed, less so in limited. Never used it.
Phyrexian Metamorph: Clone's replacement that can copy any creature or artifact and can be splashed into any deck thanks to Phyrexian mana. Very fun.

Later I traded from my brother:
Spellskite: Love this guy. For one blue Phyrexian redirect anything straight to it. Probably gonna become very popular.

There were also Scars of Mirrodin packs, so I also got a Lux Cannon, a Necrotic Ooze, a Memoricide, and a foil Grindclock. Then I traded a Prototype Portal off my brother.

Oh, and we also got a promo foil of Sheoldred, Whispering One. She's pretty snazzy.

If you make it to a regular release party on Friday, you can get a foil promo Metamorph.

It's not nearly as good as Sheoldred in my opinion though... it's still something though.
