As for the UK; Cass Art is the cheapest place to get supplies, it's in North London, otherwise online at JacksonsArt.com is my back up, they all do those bottles what with them being the home brand of ink and all.

Ink wise, I'm actually finding myself preferring noodlers ink over the spider bottle, that, or I'll water up a tube of W&N Watercolour Lamp Black down to taste.

Talking of worldly supplies; if you ever get the chance, Sekaido in Shinjuku's the biggest art supply store I've ever seen. So much supply.

The stuff's probably the best stuff I've used for dip pens and I've tried a lot of inks. Always a good consistency and cleans off a cinch. Just don't get it on your clothes.

I've yet to try it with a brush tho, I can test it tomorrow if you're gonna go that route.

did you get the noodler's in the above places you've mentioned? jetpens used to sell it, but I noticed that the bulletproof black is no longer there

A local store called Jerry's Artarama. They have one store in North Carolina, and 2 or 3 in Florida. I think you can buy from their website too, though. Best prices I've seen yet on art supplies.

I steal all my stuff cuz im poor XD. Go to pearl art shops :P. They don't have alarm systems on their doors so you can just take what you can pocket outside of camera view. Sure they ask you for your bag at the front counter but you can pocket a lot wearing a sweater ^^. A nother friend use to take spray cans for his graffiti. if you are in the new englad area and looking at graffiti, Bunk is my friends tag name.

Myeah, that's one of the prime reasons more than half the Pearl's closed a few years ago; the articles mentioned they were loosing more product to theft from staff/customers than the were to actual sales.

That's among the good reasons online sellers remain profitable! I used dickblick.com, jerrysartarama.com and ebay for the occasional oddball thing.

if your into fountain pens my favorite is noodlers bullet proof black. its also lightfast and waterproof and has the added benefit of working in fountain pens without clogging them.

I'm aware that winsor and newton colored inks aren't really what I want. I used to own their indian ink and it had to have been one of my favorites. (I have seen larger bottles before >:| I will find them again)
those many people recommend speedball, I've used it perhaps 3 different times. I really hate its finish.

but yeah, noodlers, heard so much about them, I want to see if they're brush-friendly.

Try looking for "Micheal's" since they have a pretty good selection of traditional art tools.

all it is is Higgins and Speedball. Higgins is ok, but it's not what I want, and I hate speedball

Our local Graphaids store might have the Winsor & Newton you're looking for in stock. I'll have to double check to make sure of that.
