Ahh, Mother's Day

So, it's funny... I hate the word Drama.. because me mentioning this in a contextually appropriate way, several years ago.. was called "me bringing up drama". But, I decided I was going to do this anyway.
Today is Mother's day. And I urge you all to appreciate your mothers, those who still have them. I lost my mother in Mid 2002. She died. for what I consider Malpractice, but i think was officially complications after a very serious car accident. She was rear-ended by a van at 80 mph.. she was at a stoplight in a Daewoo..
Anyway, she passed away, and to make matters worse, Her husband... remarried on the following mother's day weekend. Less than a year after her passing.
But, It's kind of sad. If she were still alive today, I doubt she'd be very involved in my life today. Growing up, I was the only child of a single mother. She raised me herself, and.. very well, i must add. She was a wonderful mother and was my best friend. But I turned 16 as eventually happens, and became a teenager. But more importantly, she re-married. And, in retrospect... Kevin, was very bad for me. He instilled in me, some... very not good trains of thoughts.
But I turned 18 and moved away from home. I was learning who I was.. exploring my sexuality.. and because of... we'll say.. "religious commitments" (FYI, this is not a platform for a religious debate..) A lot of that I had to keep from her.. and she didn't ask about. But I always suspected she knew.. Either way. She was always there for me, to support and help me. And I will always miss her.
