Why are some people such absolute A**holes

Once again humankind is showing me just how low they can go...and I guess I should not be surprised really.
It seems that way too often in doing my job I try to do the more noble thing (which usually means doing something in the interest of an innocent critter) and try to take on the responsibility to do that hoping that my self-sacrifice will help the critter and at least give me some personal positiveness. And almost always it seems that some moronic waste of space on this planet human being turns around and causes me some sort of grief because they are not getting their own selfish and self-centered wants.
Humans are truly parasites at times.
People should not have pets they cannot care for.
And someone who is doing volunteer work for wildlife should not have to deal with such truly stupid people.

I know what you mean by people being parasites. The things I have seen in my short time as a fosters makes my heart ache. All we can do is hope we are doing some good in the long run.
short version...I am a veterinarian
I used to do a lot of wildlife rehabilitation...which I ended up caught up in state politics between the game commission and the veterinary board, Went through a lot of hell and eventually ran out of money to fight so gave in got fined and gave up my rehab licensse. That was 10 years ago.
3 weeks ago an isiot drinken 20 year old chick could not care for her cat and newborn kittens. She and her boyfriend were driving me and my staff crazy...so I offered to adopt the mom and kittens. deal done. 2 days later the twit and her mom start calling screaming i tricked her so i could make money from the cat and kittens ( yea...right)
Filed a lawsuit, they lost...the cats are legally mine.
But now they are threatening to go tho the state vet board because I help my friends wildlife center...and the girl is plastering crap reviews all over the internet...one reason I personally never read ony of those assinine sites for any business...most reviews there are bull.
SADLY
this is just one in a serious of assinine people I have to put up with....my former mate Kieryn and his parents being in that category too
all in all ... a sad kitty who hopes that doing the right things someday will pay off
I just get so frustrated and saddened by this kind of stuff
I try to follow an enlightened path as best I can...
too bad others are less inclined
